Undiknas Distributes Scholarships Worth IDR 1.2 Billion to Underprivileged Communities in Bali

Denpasar, December 6, 2024 – Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (Undiknas) once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting education and community welfare through active participation in the 46th “NGROMBO Bhakti Sosial” event organized by the Provincial National Unity and Politics Agency (Kesbangpol) of Bali. Held on Friday, December 6, 2024, at the Kesbangpol Bali office courtyard, the event brought together various stakeholders, including government institutions, political parties, community organizations, foundations, small businesses, educational institutions, and underprivileged community members.

As an educational institution, Undiknas contributed by providing educational scholarships worth IDR 1,216,000,000 (One Billion Two Hundred Sixteen Million Rupiah). These scholarships aim to support 25 prospective students, underprivileged individuals, and persons with disabilities in Bali, granting them access to quality education.

The scholarships were directly handed over by Undiknas Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Nyoman Sri Subawa, S.T., S.Sos., M.M., IPM., ASEAN Eng to the Acting Governor of Bali, Irjen. Pol. (Purn.) Drs. Sang Made Mahendra Jaya, M.H., witnessed by officials from various institutions present at the event.

This initiative serves as a tangible manifestation of the collaboration between Undiknas and various community and government stakeholders in promoting welfare through education. Undiknas’ participation reflects the university’s vision as an agent of change, focusing not only on academics but also on sustainable social contributions, aligning with Bali’s development spirit and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly the fourth pillar on Quality Education.

With the support of multiple parties, activities like this are expected to create positive impacts on the broader community, especially those in need, while strengthening synergies between educational institutions, the government, and local communities.
