{"id":21156,"date":"2025-03-05T09:16:15","date_gmt":"2025-03-05T01:16:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sdgs.undiknas.ac.id\/undiknas-international-seminar-exploring-self-identity-in-the-digital-age\/"},"modified":"2025-04-29T10:08:33","modified_gmt":"2025-04-29T02:08:33","slug":"undiknas-international-seminar-exploring-self-identity-in-the-digital-age","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/sdgs.undiknas.ac.id\/en\/undiknas-international-seminar-exploring-self-identity-in-the-digital-age\/","title":{"rendered":"Undiknas International Seminar: Exploring Self-Identity in the Digital Age"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"\" data-start=\"131\" data-end=\"517\"><strong data-start=\"131\" data-end=\"162\">Denpasar<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (Undiknas) once again held an international seminar titled <em data-start=\"256\" data-end=\"351\">&#8220;The Search for Self in the Digital Age: Reflection on Identity, Connection, and Well-Being.&#8221;<\/em> The seminar aimed to explore how the digital era affects individual identity, social relationships, and mental well-being, particularly among the younger generation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"519\" data-end=\"910\">The seminar featured Mrs. Vinora Shaker from Asia Pacific University of Technology &amp; Innovation, Malaysia, as the keynote speaker, and was moderated by Putu Riana Artyanti Putri, M.Psi., Psychologist. Held at the Dwi Tunggal Auditorium of Universitas Pendidikan Nasional, the event was attended by students and faculty members, who were eager to engage with the material and the discussions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"912\" data-end=\"1305\">In her presentation, Mrs. Vinora Shaker discussed how advancements in technology and social media have transformed the way individuals perceive themselves and interact with the outside world. She highlighted the phenomenon of <em data-start=\"1138\" data-end=\"1157\">self-presentation<\/em> and <em data-start=\"1162\" data-end=\"1180\">curated identity<\/em> on social media, where individuals often craft an idealized image of themselves that may differ from their real-life selves.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1307\" data-end=\"1581\">&#8220;Today, we live in an era where our identities are shaped not only by real-life experiences but also by how we present ourselves in the digital world. It is crucial to find a balance between our digital existence and real life to maintain an authentic identity,&#8221; she stated.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1583\" data-end=\"1799\">The discussion, moderated by Putu Riana Artyanti Putri, M.Psi., Psychologist, was lively, with many students actively asking questions and sharing their experiences about the impact of the digital era on their lives.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1801\" data-end=\"1855\">Some key points discussed during the seminar included:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1856\" data-end=\"2125\">\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1856\" data-end=\"1911\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1858\" data-end=\"1911\">How to build a healthy and authentic digital identity<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1912\" data-end=\"1982\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1914\" data-end=\"1982\">The impact of social media on mental health and emotional well-being<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1983\" data-end=\"2051\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1985\" data-end=\"2051\">Ways to maintain a balance between digital life and social reality<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"2052\" data-end=\"2125\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2054\" data-end=\"2125\">Strategies for managing pressure and expectations from the online world<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2127\" data-end=\"2317\">Through this seminar, it is hoped that Undiknas students will become more aware of the digital era&#8217;s impact on their self-identity and be better equipped to build stronger mental well-being.<\/p><p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Denpasar\u00a0\u2013 Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (Undiknas) once again held an international seminar titled &#8220;The Search for Self in the Digital Age: Reflection on Identity, Connection, and Well-Being.&#8221;
