Director General of Trade Comes to Undiknas: Encouraging Innovation of the Young Generation in the Business World
Denpasar – Amidst the ever-changing market dynamics, innovation strategies have become key to maintaining competitiveness, improving operational efficiency, and driving sustainable economic growth. Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (Undiknas), through its Student Entrepreneurship Unit (UKM), organized the National Talkshow (Talknas) #6 with the theme “Explore Strategies to Create New Innovations of Business” on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at the Undiknas Auditorium in Denpasar.
Drs. Isy Karim, M.Si, the Director General of Domestic Trade, attended as the main speaker at this event. In his interview session, Drs. Isy Karim urged all students, as the nation’s future generation, to learn from various sources, not only within the campus environment but also through print media, electronic media, social media, and their surroundings. He emphasized that the younger generation plays a crucial and vital role in achieving the Golden Indonesia 2045, particularly through innovations in entrepreneurship.
“We must prepare the younger generation to continue innovating and adapting to the dynamic market changes. This is essential to maintain competitiveness and support sustainable economic growth,” said Drs. Isy Karim.
Attended by students from the Universitas Pendidikan Nasional, especially from the Management Economics department, this event is part of the annual series organized by the UKM Entrepreneurship Undiknas Denpasar. Besides Drs. Isy Karim, Dr. Desak Made Febri Purnama Sari, S.E., M.M., a lecturer at Undiknas, also spoke at the event. Dr. Desak Made highlighted the importance of up-skilling, re-skilling, and new skilling that align with current developments.
“Young people need up-skilling, re-skilling, and new skilling that align with the developments, continuously learning from all aspects, and always being optimistic in self-development,” she stated.

By featuring competent speakers and presenting the theme of business innovation, Talknas #6 contributes to improving the quality of student education.
