
ECU Medical Students Participate in Hospital Visit Program at RSUP Prof. dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah Bali
Denpasar — RSUP Prof. dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah welcomed a group of medical students from Edith Cowan University (ECU), Australia, as part of an international academic collaboration with Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (Undiknas). The program, held over four days from September 30 to October 3, 2025, aimed to provide participants with firsthand experience of the hospital system and healthcare services in Indonesia.
This activity represents the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3, which ensures healthy lives and promotes well-being.
The first day of the program focused on orientation activities, during which students were introduced to the general profile of the hospital. Topics covered included the environment of RSUP Prof. dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah, its vision and mission, types of services, organizational units, and other important aspects related to hospital operations.
Following the orientation session, students participated in direct visits to several key medical units, including the Maternity Building, Emergency Department (ED), and Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Through these visits, students were able to observe clinical workflows, patient care procedures, and the infrastructure supporting critical medical services.
This program also reflects the implementation of Asta Cita point 4, which focuses on strengthening human resources development, knowledge, technology, education, health, sports achievements, gender equality, and the empowerment of women, youth, and persons with disabilities.
The initiative demonstrates the shared commitment of Undiknas and Edith Cowan University in promoting global learning experiences and cross-cultural academic exchange. RSUP Prof. dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah welcomed the program and emphasized the importance of international collaboration in enhancing the quality of education and healthcare services.
