Fakultas Hukum Undiknas Gelar “Open Talk with Legislator #2” untuk Membentuk Legislator Muda Berintegritas

Denpasar – The Faculty of Law at Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (Undiknas) once again hosted the event “Open Talk with Legislator #2” with the theme “Shaping Young Legislators with Integrity and Critical Character to Become a Golden Generation.” The event, held on June 24, 2024, at the Dwi Tunggal Auditorium of Undiknas, featured two prominent speakers: Dr. Ida Bagus Rai Dharmawijaya Mantra, S.E., M.Si., a member of the Regional Representative Council (DPD RI), and Anak Agung Gede Agung Suyoga, S.H., M.Kn., a member of the Bali Provincial House of Representatives (DPRD Bali).
The event aimed to equip Undiknas Faculty of Law students with the knowledge and skills needed to become young legislators with integrity and critical thinking. In his opening remarks, Dr. Ida Bagus Rai Dharmawijaya Mantra emphasized the importance of integrity in the legislative field. “A legislator must have a strong commitment to ethical principles and honesty, as well as the courage to express critical opinions for the common good,” he stated.
Anak Agung Gede Agung Suyoga also shared his views on the vital role of young legislators in creating positive change in society. “The younger generation has the energy and idealism to bring about significant change. With a critical character and strong integrity, you can become effective agents of change in national development,” he added.
This event aligns with efforts to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 16 on peace, justice, and strong institutions. Through this training, students are expected to understand their important role in strengthening a fair and transparent government system.
Open Talk with Legislator #2 not only served as a platform for exchanging knowledge but also provided students with the opportunity to develop their critical and analytical skills. The interactive and spirited discussions between speakers and participants created a dynamic and inspiring learning atmosphere.
