International Management Seminar (IMS): Integrating SDGs into Green Business Practices
Denpasar, October 25, 2024 – The Management Student Association of Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (Undiknas) successfully organized the International Management Seminar (IMS) under the theme: “Pathways to Effective Sustainable Business: Overcoming Barriers and Integrating SDGs into Green Management Practices.” Held at the Dwi Tunggal Auditorium in Denpasar, Bali, the event embraced a hybrid format, welcoming participants from various academic and professional backgrounds.
Expert Insights and Youth Perspectives
The seminar featured distinguished speakers Dr. Ashlee Morgan, an international expert in sustainable business practices, and Ida Nyoman Basmantara, S.Pd., M.Pd., M.M., a management and education expert.
Additionally, student speakers from Undiknas, Kadek Hery Pramanta and Made Adwesta Mahotama, shared insights and real-world perspectives on sustainable business management.
The event was attended by faculty members, Undiknas students, and the general public. It aimed to foster awareness and understanding of sustainable business practices, particularly in the context of achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The seminar aligned with SDG pillars, especially: Goal 8: Promoting sustainable economic growth, Goal 12: Ensuring responsible consumption and production patterns, and Goal 13: Taking urgent action to combat climate change.
By addressing barriers to sustainability and offering practical approaches to green management, the seminar encouraged businesses to adopt eco-friendly strategies and align their operations with global sustainability standards.
